Holiday Showtime: Festival of Lights, 2018

Just a brief show note: This past weekend Alchemy Stones were at the Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center here in Port Townsend, as vendors at the annual Festival of Lights fair.

The Festival of Lights is one of our favorite local events, and serves as one of the major annual fundraisers for our local Unity Center.

Because it's a fundraising event, a portion of vendor sales go to benefit Unity.

We just had a small table for the Friday-Saturday event, and it was a "double feature" as we showed both Alchemy Stones, as well as Sarah's adorable handmade "Thank Ewes."

New for Alchemy Stones was our first attempt at wearable art, in the form of smaller lightweight stones created specifically as pendants to put on a chain. This is an area we hope to develop further in the future... right now, the process of drilling holes in extremely hard stone material is still at the experimental stage.

Looks like the idea is going to "stick," though. The very first thing Sarah sold was one of our largest pendants!

We participate in this event because we like the Unity crowd, and this one of the ways we can be part of supporting our community.

Like many shows we've been in recently, attendance seemed quite low.
